I was born in Italy in a devoted Catholic family in a region where the church professes the Ambrosian rite under the Archdiocese of Milan. Growing up, my parents were responsible for teaching me about Jesus and always accompanied me to the weekly church celebrations. In 2006 when I first arrived in the United States, I confronted a new reality with its own challenges, one of which was learning a new language. Thanks to the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit I was able to overcome all the difficulties and successfully establish myself into the everyday life of this beautiful country.
My service as a music minister began in Italy and has continued in the United States, where I have played at various churches for masses, weddings, funerals and seasonal concerts. I have educational and practical training in piano, organ, and harpsichord, as well as experience in directing choirs, vocal coaching, and teaching Italian. Recently, I graduated from Florida State University with a Doctor of Music in Piano Performance-Collaborative Piano.
Family is a very important aspect in my life. My wife, Lauren, holds a Masters of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. Our almost four-year old son, Mattia, is all boy! He is more interested in his monster trucks than music, but you may occasionally hear him at the piano or humming a nursery rhyme. We pray together thanking God for the strength and unity of our family, for the gifts he offers us daily, and we ask Him to continue to protect us and inspire our souls.
St. John of the Cross Parish has wonderful musicians and I am very blessed to be accepted into your family! I hope our enthusiasm for providing prayerful and contemplative music will encourage you to consider becoming involved with music ministry.
